You awake in what seems to be a castle dungeon. Your head is pounding, almost as if you've taken a great fall and landed on the concrete slab you now find yourself on. Sitting up, you see nothing but a small hole in the ground and a guard on the other side of the iron bars. "Ah, I see you're finally awake," the guard says. "You're no doubt confused, but we have a few questions for you." [["I shouldn't be here, I'm the king!"|I'm the king]] [["What do you want from me?"|Whaddya want]]"S-Sire?!" the guard exclaims. "Why, it IS you! What are you doing down here?" The guard fumbles with his keys before swiftly unlocking the door. You move out of the dank cell and into the warm torchlight of the corridor. Closing the door behind you, you smile at the man in front of you before saying "Itadakimasu" and unhinging your jaw, clamping your teeth around the man's head. You are not the king. Not yet, at least. "We need to question you about an incident in Caldisla two nights ago. A building was burned to the ground and you were found lying outside of it." [["Why, am I a suspect?"|Suspicious]] [["Oh, yeah, that. I did it. What about it?"|What an asshole]]"Well, in the absence of any other citizens on the scene, yes. You understand, we have to make sure we cover all our bases and ensure justice is delivered." [["Of course. What do you need to know?"|Justice]] [["Eh. I don't really feel like talking to trash like you."|Apathy]]"Y-you did it? Then..." The guard thinks for a moment. "Then I'll just have to punish you. Let's see..." He reaches over and grabs a large key. "Come with me, criminal. Let's see how you feel after your fingernails are removed."After about an hour of questioning, the guard determined you to be innocent. "I'm very sorry to have taken up your time, sir." He unlocked the door, allowing you safe passage into the corridor. "If you'd like, we can send a few men to escort you home. The culprit might still be out there, and there's a chance you were his target." The guard leads you up a flight of stairs to a large wooden door. He pushed, but it didn't open. "Huh. That's weird," he said, "this shouldn't be hard to open." Both of you push as hard as you can, but the door won't budge. In the distance, you hear soft shuffling, almost like cloth on stone. "Who's there?" the guard shouts. No response, although you suddenly hear soft laughter. "Upupupupuuu~" the voice says. Then your vision goes black. [[...|Start]]"You...you dare speak to a member of the royal guard like that?!" The guard unlocked the door and threw it open in a rage. "By the gods, you'll pay for that!" he shouted. "It's a good thing nobody can hear us down here," he said, unbuckling his trousers, "because we wouldn't want anyone to hear you screaming..."
